Ties

Ties are broken in the following manner.

  1. The dogs are compared where they pulled against each other at the same pull. A tally of how many each dog won is computed. The winner is the dog that won more times.
  2. If they are still tied, we then start down through the highest scores for each dog. The winner is the first one to have a higher score.
  3. If they are still tied and one dog has more pulls, he is the winner.
  4. If they are still tied, they are both invited to the pulloff. If they are tied for first or second, I am not sure what is done with following dogs.

At this time (still the Yale pull outstanding, and the potential of some corrections) we have one tie on wheels (not broken) and four ties on snow (one not broken).
