Ties & Qualification

Ties are broken in the following manner.

  1. The dogs are compared where they pulled against each other at the same pull. A tally of how many each dog won is computed. The winner is the dog that won more times.
  2. If they are still tied, we then start down through the highest scores for each dog. The winner is the first one to have a higher score.
  3. If they are still tied and one dog has more pulls, he is the winner.
  4. If they are still tied, they are both invited to the pulloff. If they are tied for first or second, I am not sure what is done with following dogs.

Qualifications: (we have an inconsistancy) To be invited to the Championships, the dog must successfully complete two pulls and rank in the top three.  To medal, the dog must rank in the top three scores.  We do have some reversals.
